Join over 100 business leaders to encourage early childhood literacy.

Participate as a reader in the 8th annual Read to Me Early Literacy Storyteller Event, where you will spend the morning reading to a classroom of Philadelphia school children following a networking breakfast with other business and community leaders.

This event is part of the Read to Me Early Literacy Program, which is an annual, year-long program that helps support early childhood literacy by providing quality classroom book collections to thousands of Philadelphia pre-k and kindergarten students and inspires them to read with their parents, caregivers, or teachers throughout the school year. In addition, it provides teacher orientations to train educators on how to effectively bring the program into their classrooms, and parent workshops that encourage caregivers to read aloud to their children at home. The program was developed by Lynn Rosenthal, an award winning reading specialist in Philadelphia city schools for more than 30 years.

To register as a storyteller, you must:

  • Make a $500, tax-deductible donation*, which helps support the Read to Me Early Literacy Program and the purchase of classroom books
  • Be a Chamber member
  • Register in advance online below or by mail

If you are unable to participate as a storyteller but would like to support the Read to Me Early Literacy Program, you may still make a tax-deductible donation*. We welcome donations of any amount to support this program.
