The partnership between natural gas and renewable energy sectors is critical to achieve long-term energy efficiency and security. With cities across the US adopting ambitious carbon reduction goals, our region must take a broader approach to create an integrated low-carbon energy strategy. According to the US Energy Information Administration, in 2016, renewable energy accounted for just 4% of Pennsylvania’s net electricity generation – a large gap from the state’s Alternative Energy Portfolio requirement of 18% by 2021. Our region must continue to expand the use of clean natural gas to achieve short-term low carbon goals, while increasing the use of renewables to support these long-term goals of improving efficiency.

In 2016, renewable energy accounted for just 4% of PA’s net electricity generation – a large gap from the state’s requirement of 18% by 2021.

Join us as we explore the synergies of natural gas and renewables to transition to cleaner and more secure energy. Hear from Chris Crane, Chief Executive Officer, Exelon Corporation as he shares cutting-edge, customer-facing solutions utility companies are adopting to support an integrated low-carbon energy strategy. A panel of key industry experts will then expand on ways the business community will benefit from this partnership between natural gas and renewable energy sectors, and how your company can leverage real time monitoring and improve efficiency.
