At our Diversity & Inclusion Reception, attendees will have the opportunity to network with fellow individuals interested in advancing D&I practices in the workplace. 

Attendees will hear from Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer at Comcast, David L. Cohen. In addition, hear from special guest Annie Duke, author, speaker, and former professional poker player. Duke will discuss how her career has taught her to embrace viewpoint diversity, why it is imperative for business success, and how learning from diverse sources can lead to better decision making.

Attendees will have the opportunity to receive a copy of Duke’s national bestseller book, Thinking in Bets: Making Smarter Decisions When You Don't Have All The Facts. Limited copies available.



About the Speaker:

Annie Duke is an author, and experienced corporate speaker and consultant on the behavior of decision making. On February 6, 2018, Annie’s first book for general audiences, “Thinking in Bets: Making Smarter Decisions When You Don’t Have All the Facts” was released by Portfolio, an imprint of Penguin Random House. As a former professional poker player, she has won more than $4 million in tournament poker. During her career, Annie has won a World Series of Poker bracelet, and is the only women to have won the World Series of Poker Tournament of Champions, and the NBC National Poker Heads-Up Championship. A mom of four, she has written five books and raised more than $18 million for charities. Annie is a cofounder of HowIDecide.org, a member of the National Board of After-School All-Stars and a member of the NationSwell Council. In 2016 she joined the board of directors of the Franklin Institute, one of America's oldest and greatest science museums. She has also won a televised championship in rock-paper-scissors.

Pre-registration is necessary, availability is not guaranteed for walk-ins. Payment is required upon registration/entrance. No refunds will be given one week prior to program/event. Substitutions may be made. Tickets will be held at the door. Reserved seating for tables of 10 only. Please advise your guests that tickets will be held at the door under your company name.
