Job growth in our region’s energy economy is reaching new heights.

Over the past few years, the energy market in Greater Philadelphia has stimulated uptrends in both jobs and manufacturing. If current trends are any indication, the region is poised to benefit from continued job growth and opportunities across a variety of energy sectors, including natural gas and clean energy.

In just one year, the energy job market proved to be an engine for overall economic growth. According to the Consumer Energy Alliance, Pennsylvania’s natural gas industry created over 21,000 jobs over the course of one year. Simultaneously, clean energy jobs in energy-efficiency, renewables, and clean-vehicle manufacturing grew faster than any other energy sector.

Hear Karen Harbert, President, American Gas Association, and a series of energy leaders present flash talks highlighting the ways in which the energy economy is a driving force in our overall economic outlook and discover how both clean energy and natural gas have boosted jobs and significantly uplifted the regional economy.
