Thanks to the regional effort of our donors and volunteers last year, the Chamber purchased nearly 1,500 hardcover read-aloud books to replenish the libraries of participating schools — impacting 116 classrooms in 25 schools this year.
Contributions provide classroom lending libraries and book bags to Philadelphia public schools, teacher workshops for best practices on early literacy, and reading tips to parents and caregivers.
Although the Annual Read to Me Storyteller Event cannot take place this year due to COVID-19, efforts to raise money to support early literacy are still going strong and donations are still welcome.
This Chamber is a proud partner of Read By 4th, a citywide campaign that brings together an ever-growing coalition of partners to get all children reading at grade level by 4th grade.

Registration/Cancellation Policy:
Pre-registration is necessary, availability is not guaranteed for walk-ins. Payment is required upon registration/entrance. No refunds will be given one week prior to program/event. Substitutions may be made. Tickets will be held at the door. Reserved seating for tables of 10 only. Please advise your guests that tickets will be held at the door under your company name.
Attendee Policy:
Chamber programs are privately sponsored events with a structured format. No demonstrations or other disruptions will be tolerated. Violation of this policy may result in the attendee's removal from the premises without refund, in addition to possible legal remedies.
