As stay-at-home orders are lifted and our country begins to confront the new realities of a post-COVID world, restoring confidence in our economy is key to our path to recovery.
Over the course of the economic crisis brought on by the pandemic, the Federal Reserve System has leveraged new and existing policies to support the economic viability of our nation. Patrick Harker, President of the Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank, will discuss these policy updates, including the organization's interest rate actions, its role in the Payment Protection Program (PPP), and the introduction of Main Street lending.
Following Harker's discussion, Gus Faucher, Chief Economist for PNC, will provide a regional economic update.
